Timothy Charles Plowman (* 17 November 1944 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; † 7 January 1989) was an American botanist. His special field of interest was the ethnobotany of South American plants.

Anthurium timplowmanii is endemic to Peru, known only from the type locality in the Department of Huanuco, Province of Leoncio Prado, in Premontane wet forest (P-wf), at 650 to 900 m elevation.


Anthurium timplowmanii belongs to the small anthuriums, the leaf size of an adult plant is given as approx. 30cm long. However, this species is very rare in cultivation, so there is no long-term experience with it.
