Orchi-Mix is our own developed orchid compost and is an perfect mix for all tropical orchids. Most terrestrial orchids and humus epiphytes also feel very comfortable in our orchi mix.
It consists of medium-hard pine bark in a grain size of 20-30mm with sphagnum as the main additive. Other additives such as perlite, pumice, vermiculite can be added, but it is not necessary. With normal culture, the substrate will last for 2 years, after which the plants should be replanted at the latest.
The compost is not fertilized and adjusted to a pH of 5.5.Orchi-Mix can be stored dry and in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened again before repotting. After a long period of storage, the bark and moss need some time to absorb moisture again.
