Product information "Anthurium queremalense"
Name: Anthurium queremalense, Croat unresolved
Synonyms:

 unknown

Etymology:

queremalense = after the Queremal area, Valle de Cauca, Colombia

Propagation: divisions
Origin: Colombia
Habitat:

the plant grows hemiepiphytic and was found on the western slopes of the Cordillera Occidentale in the Departamento Valle in the humid warm rainforest.

Notes:

This species was found by Tom Croat and John Gaskin once in Colombia on July 1, 1997 at an altitude of 1350m.
The large, beautifully colored leaves with their velvety coating make them a real eye-catcher. The young leaves are black through, and form an attractive contrast to the mature leaves.
As the plant ages, the leaves become more intensely colored and contrasting, and the number of increasingly distinct veins also increases.
