Origin: Ecuador Peru
Habitat:

epiphytic climbing on the edge of the Amazon region in eastern Ecuador or northeastern Peru in the Cordillera del Cóndor, in warm humid to warm wet tropical forests at altitudes of 600-800m.

Notes:

Anthurium moronense was found growing at an altitude of 700-800 m near Gualaquiza, Misión Bomboiza, Misión Salesiana as early as October 3, 1967. Only after rediscovery by Tom Croat many years later the description was published in December 2004.
The new leaves develop light yellow and later mature green, in the growing stage they remind of flying birds with the 3-parted leaves and the long stems. Especially in light air movement, the leaves develop into a real eye-catcher.
