Etymology:

baudoense = after the locality in the Serrania de Baudo, a mountain range in the Choco District.

Origin: Kolumbien, Ekuador
Habitat:

hemiepiphytic and terrestrial in tropical rainforest, in sparse forests along the Pacific Andes in semi-shaded locations from sea level to 1000m, often also on steep, wet roadsides.

Notes:

Leaves have long, gray-green internodes that dry with a very scaly, pale epidermis, and 2 sharply ribbed, deciduous stipules. Leaf blades are usually elliptic to obovate, tapering to a narrow, subequal base with a midrib that is much broader at the base and tapers to the tip. The primary lateral nerves are characterized by being widely spaced and bending rapidly upward.
