Product information "Philodendron lupinum"
Name: Philodendron lupinum, E.G.Gonç. & J.B.Carvalho 2008
Synonyms:

not known

Etymology:

lupinum = wolf bean, lupine (here possibly: token, since the lupine was used in ancient times as money in the game).

Propagation: cuttings
Origin: Brasil
Habitat:

Philodendron lupinum is a climbing hemiepiphyte and was found in a small fragment of the "Terra Firme" forest in the Amazon region at Cruzeiro do Sul, Arredores de Lagoinha, Ramal Santa Luzia, Igarapé Zacarias para Cobrinha on 24 August 2001 at 214m.

Notes:

This rarely found, compact growing Philodendron is very special because it changes the form and colour of the leaves as it  matures. While the leaves of the young plant are still small and heart-shaped with a velvety texture and a chestnut-colored underside, older plants show a rather elongated shape and texture as well as the underside of the leaf change to normal green.
