|Name:||Philodendron delinksii, Croat & Köster 2011|
delinksii = The species is named in honour of Thomas Delinks, an American botanist who spent several years researching and collecting in Ecuador, starting in the Amazon Basin with a three-month stay at the Jatun Sacha field station and later in a two-year project with Nigel Pitman in Parque Nacional Yasuní. He explored the Cordillera Cordillera del Cóndor with David Neill and in 1998, with Tom Croat, he started collecting Araceae in the coastal mountains of Manabí Province, especially in the southern Mache-Chindul mountains, where, with the help of Ecuadorian botanist Carlos Robles, he collected some of the first specimens of Philodendron delinksii.
hemiepiphytic, climbing in dense forests of tropical humid rainforest in the Pacific Andes in semi-shady places at altitudes of 450 - 650m.
Philodendron delinksii was offered and sold for some time as Philodendron erubescens Ecuagenera. In the meantime, however, it has become clear that the valid species name is Philodendron delinksii.
