Phragmipedium humboldtii is/was often confused with Phragm. warscewiczianum.
Petal length can be over 50cm, when the petals develop, please do not touch the tip, the petals will stop growing.
This species often grows on slopes, the petals grow down very long until they touch the ground and insects can climb up them and pollinate the flower.
