|Name:||Tillandsia myosura, Griseb. ex Baker 1878|
Tillandsia nappii, Lorentz & Niederl. 1881
myosura: myos = mouse, ura = tail
|Origin:||Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay|
widespread in the dry inland areas, but small sites are also known on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.
Tillandisa myosura grows very slowly and does not tolerate much water. The flowers are rather inconspicuous, but older plants give the impression of a Gordian knot, and are thus very interesting and real eye-catchers.
