pohliana = Johann Baptist Emanuel Pohl (* 23 February 1782 in Bohemian-Kamnitz; † 22 May 1834 in Vienna) was an Austrian botanist.

Tillandsia pohliana is not only captivating because of its beautiful grey-green rosette, the impressive, hanging flowers are particularly striking and can change colour from light ochre-orange to strong red.
