Habitat:	epiphytic in the cloud forest of the Andes of Colombia, at altitudes from 1500m to 2000m
Notes:	This species was offered as Dracula platycrater for a long time. New examinations have shown that Dracula platycrater is only a synonym of Dracula spectrum. The flowers of Dracula spectrum are about 10cm in diameter and are terminal on erect, horizontal or rarely pendulous panicles.
