sibundoyensis = Sibundoy is a municipality in the department of Putumayo in southern Colombia close to Ecuadorian border.
In the border area between Colombia and Ecuador, epiphytic on mossy trees on the eastern slopes of the Andes in cloud forests at altitudes of 2200 to 2300 meters
With 5 x 20cm big flowers Dracula sibundoyensis belongs to the rather large-flowered species, the horizontal to hanging and up to 15cm long inflorescence stems bear 2-3 terminal flowers, which open one after the other.
