|Name:||Anthurium debilipeltatum, Croat 2008|
debilipeltatum: debilis = weak, limp, peltatus = shield-shaped
The species grows lithophytically in the fissured limestone cliffs near Tingo Marı'a, at altitudes of 650 to 800m in premontane tropical forest.
Anthurium debilipeltatum was discovered as early as 1971 by Jose Schunke-Vigo (*1935 - †1978), but it was not until 2009 that it was described by Tom Croat on the basis of material he discovered by chance on a collecting trip in Peru. Anthurium debilipeltatum belongs to the small species in the family Araceae.
